Peggy Pouch
« on: Wednesday 09 November 22 13:46 GMT (UK) »
Hey all, I’ve hit a wall in looking for my Dads aunt Peggy Pouch. I can’t find a birth or death record.

Peggy’s father was an Edward Pouch/Pouche and mother Jane Lyon/Lyons.

I am unsure if Peggy was born in England maybe Reading area or Ireland when her Irish father returned home to Rathcoole, Dublin between 1930-32.

I was told Peggy is buried with her eldest daughter in a cemetery in Newcastle, Dublin

I have real trouble looking for Irish records so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Ty

Thanks guys, I wasn’t sure when Edward returned home to Ireland so I think you’re both on the right track. I too wondered if Peggy was short for another name? Margaret if the record looks right could certainly be her registered name.

Thank you both I think you’ve found the aunt in question!!

Reason for this is through dna we found out my Dads father wasn’t his biological father. Now the man whom we think it is his surviving daughter doesn’t want to help. It’s last chance saloon as they’re all getting on a little now, my Dad being 65. So his cousins would all be in their late 60’s to 70’s.

But thank you on finding Peggy/Margaret really gives me something to work with.

Tyrone
