Sorry not to have commented sooner but as usual thanks so much to everyone for looking at this for me

I think I will get the death certificate for the 1949 death in Ilford as it seems possible that William  isn't seen much after that (although even with the death cert it is sometimes difficult to match the person to the cert unless the person registering the death is some how connected to the deceased)
