I see John is listed in the 1861 and 1871 census as "John SCOTT" with Robert and Charlotte in Montrose. In 1871 his occupation is sailor.

I see Anne PATERSON (27, widow) with father Hugh NOBLE in the 1881 at St Mary, Islington with a child Hugh PATERSON (3).

Son Hugh's birth registration: As Hugh Noble SCOTT- PATERSON at Hackney Mar qtr 1878 (1b/198)

Baptised 3 March 1878 at St Mark, Tower Hamlets, parents John (seaman) and Anne of 8 Homer Terrace.

It seems that Anne remarried to Percival Rourke TEEVAN Dec qtr 1887  Islington (1b   /580). They are together with son Hugh in 1891 and 1901. Rourke TEEVAN (retired army Captain) born c1834 in Ireland.

1861 census: High Street, Montrose. Hugh Noble, baker, 46, born Croy, Inverness-shire, with wife Elizabeth, 41, born Brechin and eight children including Ann, 7, born Brechin.

Baptism of Anne, daughter of Hugh Noble and Elizabeth Robb, in Brechin on 11 September 1853.

Croy is the next parish to Culloden, just a few miles east of Inverness.
