Landlord William Sinclair
« on: Friday 11 November 22 18:08 GMT (UK) »
I have attached an obituary for William Sinclair [1810-1896] who was a landlord with properties in Holyhill, Co. Tyrone & Inver, Co. Donegal. Is it possible to determine what townlands in Inver that Sinclair owned? Also, at what point did the tenants in Ireland become property owners? Thanks.

You have attached the funeral notice….here's the obituary from the Tyrone Constitution 28 August 1896.

….properties in Holyhill, Co. Tyrone & Inver, Co. Donegal.

The townland where he lived was Holly-Hill (east of Strabane).

Check out the PRONI Historical Maps Viewer https://apps.spatialni.gov.uk/PRONIApplication/ to see his property Holy Hill.
Type Holly-Hill into the search box and select Layer List (3rd Edit 1900-1907)
