Hi All
I am in need of some of your specialist knowledge.

I am looking to find out how "James Minto Hood" died

His date of death is listed at times as 23rd or 24th Feb 1920 he is interred in Capuccini Naval cemetery Malta he served in the Royal Marines he was commissioned in 1916

Dundee Courier, 28th February 1920

Hood - At Malta on the 23rd February, Lieut. James M Hood, I.W.T., of pneumonia aged 28 years, second son of Mr and Mrs Hood, Hermonhill. (American papers please copy)

You have completely re-edited your posting since I posted mine. It now starts ‘he died of pneumonia’, which did not appear when I posted my reply.

You have also edited in several links which weren’t there originally.

I too noticed the alterations JenB, as you say "unfair". It's happened to me several times and makes one look a complete idiot.

I am sorry I have upset you both. I had not seen either of your posts until after I had been editing.
I had no intention of belittling or making your posts look silly. I was filling in with details I had found as I progressed with researching the chap.
In retrospect I should have collated the info into the post before I posted in the first place.

Hi All

Thank you very much, James Minto Hood was born in Dundee on the 25th Oct 1890 which makes him 30 when he died.
I had found the entry in CWGC site also the one in Dundee I was only after the cause of Death as it was 2 years after hostilities finished.
