Charles BEST - born 1852? Wareham Dorset

I am trying to find the Birth Registration for Charles Best born to Henry and Jane Best in Wareham. I can't seem to find it anywhere - I am either missing something or just not seeing it.  Can anyone help?

He was baptised on 22nd August 1852 in Wareham

He appears on the 1861 and 1871 Censuses with his parents

He married Harriett Tolhurst (born in Wadhurst in 1853) in Wareham on 25th December 1873

They had three children: Louisa, born 1874 in Lamberhurst, Sussex; Fanny, born 1876 in Lamberhurst, Sussex and Charles Henry, born 1878 in Shipbourne, Kent.

In 1881 the family were living in Horsmonden, Kent

In 1901 Charles and his son Charles Henry are living with his daughter Fanny (now married to Henry Goodsell) - no record of Harriet (I haven't found her death yet) although Charles is registered as married.

In 1911 Charles (widowed) is living in Tottenham with Florence Barnes (widow)

I believe he may have died in March 1915 as I have found a record for a death registered in Edmonton.

Charles's mother is Jane Oats or Watts - she went by both names.   Part of the reason I would like to find his birth record is to check her name again.

Yes, the surname for Jane is a dilemma.

The oldest boy in the family is William Thomas BEST born abt 1832 in Stoke, Dorset. Obviously born before Henry and Jane married. William Thomas marries in 1858 with the surname WATTS – and on the marriage record for father, it says “single woman”. He continues using the surname WATTS for the rest of his life.
