As Mathilde was born 3 years before her mother's marriage her surname will not be Delattre on the marriage records

I am after information on Pierre Walker only have a marriage date and possible death date of 1874
I need to get into French documents to search.
Mathilde, yes that struck me too, why the Delattre surname when he is probably not your father? What was her mother doing in Egypt is also asked?
No art site lists death information for Mathilde.

I presume Mathilde took on her step father's name
But birth would be registered under mother's surname or her birth father if he was known

The original documents are on ancestry if you have subs

 #it helps if you put FRANCE as the category to search rather than all collections but i dont know where the EGYPT birth would be.
