Boer War
« on: Tuesday 15 November 22 15:11 GMT (UK) »
I’m looking for more details of a soldier in the Rhodesia Regiment, A squadron shown on the Boer War medal roll. William Henry Waller, captured 2 November 1899, released 6 June 1900.

Where would I be able to find his birth date/place, service details etc.

Thank you, Linda

This is The National Archives guide to research the Boer War. Scroll down the page to the headline British Army personnel. I haven't followed it through.

It might be worth contacting Hugh Bomford (co-author of the regimental history) to see if he knows where the Boer War personnel records of the Rhodesia Regiment are to be found. His email address is on this web page: https://www.rhodesianservices.org/rhodesia-regiment.htm
