Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Bessie Coltman - Staff Nurse - Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service. Died 26/11/1918
Alloa (Sunnyside Cemetery)

Research has sown Bessie is buried at Sunnyside Cemetery. The Commission are in the process of producing a headstone to mark her grave.

BESSIE was the daughter of JAMES COLTMAN, a card cleaner and his wife JESSIE (nee DICKSON).
She was a nursing Sister at Glasgow Infirmary. She is recorded living there on the 1911 census.

She was awarded the Royal Red Cross Decoration for services in Malta, central & east Africa, as well as the UK.

1918 -  47A Ochill Street, Alloa  - parents address - 7 September 1918

Died - Died of pneumonia following an attack of influenza.
