Nearly full laptop
« on: Sunday 20 November 22 16:31 GMT (UK) »
My HP laptop (with Windows 10) informs me that it is now 97% full and I am busy trying to delete unwanted items, but without any significant reduction in the percentage, I have to say.  A year or two ago I installed Brave as my browser, changing from Microsoft Edge, but wonder whether to un-install Brave, since Microsoft won't allow me to delete Edge.

Any helpful suggestions?

Get some free cloud storage (Google, Box, dropbox etc). Then move large folders to the cloud.

Check programs are not creating unneeded backups, as this can fill up space.

It might be worth investing in a small portable drive that you can backup all your precious files to  - your old photos, BMD certs etc..

Many thanks folks but——  :-[I have no idea what you are talking about!
My fault entirely ,I am not fit to be let loose on anything technical !
I was given the iPad some Christmases ago,  without a clue what to do
with it .
But such enjoyment and friendship !
So as I say to my son who has little patience with me regarding my lack of ability as he is munching his way through a big slice of delicious chocolate sponge cake ,”Did you enjoy that, ?
Well all the ingredients are in the kitchen so have a go ,”
He never does - wonder why?

Awww ,he is very good really.
Viktoria.
