Beatrice Miles was born 03/08/1887 in Kings Norton/ Her parents were Thomas and Laura Lavinia. Her siblings were Tom (1/7/1889) William (23/12/1891) Frederick Arthur (5/9/1893) Ernest 1899. I have satisfactorily traced siblings and parents.
In 1901 the whole family were at 35 Back of Edward Rd Balsall Heath.
On March 27th 1905 Beatrice married John Thomas Baker at the St Thomas in the Moors parish church. He was born in Bodicott Oxfordshire
In 1911 Beatrice & John were with his parents Edward & Charlotte at 29 Jakeman Walk Balsall Heath. There are no children present. The census indicates she has had 3 children 2 alive one dead.
Her parents and siblings were all at Wenman Street Balsall Heath. No other children present.
In 1907 in Kings Norton a Charlotte Amelia Baker, mother Miles, was born, she died in 1909 and seems likely to be the deceased child. The other 2 children not identified or found in 1911
By 1921 both her parents had died. (the strange circumstances surrounding the death of her father, Thomas Miles, are recorded in the Birmingham Mail July 2nd 1915.)
I thought I had located Beatrice in 1921 a a boarder at 164 Belgrave Rd Birmingham. There were 3 Baker children with her, Elizabeth May 16y 4m, John T 6y 5m, William A 1y 10 m. Beatrice is shown as a widow. John T Baker, mother Miles b Birmingham q1 1915. William A Baker, mother Miles, b Kings Norton q3 1919. Register dates tie in with census ages. I can find no birth for Elizabeth May but she may be one of the 2 living children mentioned on the 1911 census. The age on the 1921 census implies she was born Feb/ Mar 1905 and thus highly possible before her mother was married. I have therefore also searched under Miles but nothing found.
In 1939 Beatrice (dob matches) was in Birmingham with son William. She is widowed. Also present are 2 children born after 1921 (as potentially still living I give no details) with mother's name Miles. I have been unable to identify a death for John Thomas Baker.
Any help in clarifying all this and thus preventing the order of lots of certifaicates greatly appreciated.
