Roy James Golding-Toronto
« on: Thursday 24 November 22 17:22 GMT (UK) »
Evelyn Louise Golding died 25 Jul 2008 and is buried in New Haven Memorial Gardens, Scarborough, (Find a Grave). Her obit stated that she was predeceased by husband Roy James. I can find very little re Roy aside from showing up on a couple of voters lists(1957/72). Nothing on Find a Grave. No idea re birth nor death.
Evelyn's obit also indicates that she was previously married to a Fields.

Have since found that James Golding was buried in Rest Haven Aug 2003. Evelyn is in the same plot.

Online tree at Ancestry indicates that James Roy Golding died 21 August 2003 in Toronto.  No spouse is named, but had a son, Frank Campbell Golding (1952-2012). Tree owner is DGolding82 who seems to be Frank's daughter.  James' birthplace is given as New Brunswick.

In the 1957 Voters' List, Roy Golding is noted as living at the rear of 143 Wineva Avenue with Mrs. Evelyn Fields  along with Mr. & Mrs. Gordon Taylor.  Roy is listed as a truck driver as in later voters' lists.

An older tree on Genealogy.com, has Roy James Golding married to Evelyn Louise Brunditt with Frank born 1 June 1952 -- however, note indicates that Frank was Roy's son from a previous marriage.

Roy did not marry Evelyn until 1961 so no marriage record will be available online.   Evelyn was born 21 October 1931, the daughter of James Ferguson Stanley Brunditt and Margaret Ann Welch.   She married Bertchill Orval Fields on 18 May 1947.   They divorced in August 1961.

Thanks Eileen. When I talked to Rest Haven they indicated that they did not have either a dob  or age for James and there is no birth registration showing in N B archives. I can not find an obit. Evelyn's obit show four children-2 are Fields and 2  are Golding.

I wouldn't think that a birth from around 1930 would be available online through any of the provincial sites due to the privacy concerns as many could still be living.

I realize that but since there appears to be no age at death showing up I thought I would check.

Have found that Roy's parents were Francis Christopher Golding(1893-1948) and Mary Delphine Deveau(1893-1955). They married 1912 Yarmouth, NS in 1912 and moved to St John, NB. Large family of 13 children.
