Please can anyone help with my search for family of Thomas Arthur Pickard b 1892  possibly Derbyshire . His father was Arthur Henderson
Thomas married Eliza Emily Harvey b1894  in 1914 at Heanor Parish Church Arthur ,father of Thomas gives occupation as Inn Keeper   Witnesses at the wedding we’re Joseph Pickard & Mary Jane Bamford
I would like to get more information on Thomas ,. Who was his mother ?  Was her maiden name Pickard?
Hoping someone can fill in some gaps for me .

Could his parents have married after his birth or not at all?

On the GRO there is a Thomas Arthur Pickard D1892 Basford

May be on the wrong track but I think worth looking at as on the 1891 census there is an Arthur Henderson, aged 18 living with his parents, Thomas Henderson, a publican, and Mary. Arthur is an assistant, and they were at The Station Inn, Heanor.

Thanks Brie ,I am sure you are correct & Thomas & Mary are  Arthur’s parents .
The other reply regarding Arthur’s marital status could be correct.
Pickard is not a very common name so wondered if Joseph Pickard one of the witnesses was Thomas Arthur Pickards. uncle

There is a possible clue to support Brie's Basford lead.  Wright's Directory of Nottingham for 1891 (p. 209) has an entry for a Thomas B. Henderson, manager at F. Coates, 286 Radford Road, Basford.  Frederick Coates was a chemist.

Mary Jane Bamford is on the 1911 census married to a Billy Bamford ,her maiden name is Pickard.
They married 6 Oct 1906 Heanor
Billy Bamford  28 bach miner 28 Market place Charles dec fwk
Mary Jane Pickard spins 23 Prospect place ,Loscoe Road  Joseph miner
wit Frederick William and Hannah Peabody.

1901 Providence St Heanor
Joseph Pickard 50 coal miner Walbrow Notts
Martha 49 Loscoe Derbyshire
Mary 17 North  Brinsley Notts
Fred 14  miner same.

1891 Taylors Row Joseph 40 ,Martha 39
Children Thomas 20,Alice 18,Lizzie 16 ,Abel 14 ,Harriet 11,Jane 8 ,Frederick 4.

So I'm guessing  his mother is Alice or Lizzie Pickard.
I can't find any other info though so you may have to buy the birth cert.

Where is Thomas in 1901?

Alice is married by 1901 and has a 5 year old son Walter Pickard with her, but no Thomas

Lizzie is also married and he's not with her either
