The Beard Family
« on: Tuesday 29 November 22 11:30 GMT (UK) »
Hello again rootchatters everywhere.
A local group of people have formed to tidy up consecrated grounds at a ruined church at Jackfield,in Shropshire.
They are trying to find some information on people buried there, and one of the families is the Beard family.
Ann 1871, Elizabeth 1899, William 1904, Samuel Bill 1814, Elizabeth 1827, Thomas 1833, and Catherine 1849.
Would it be ok,to come back with other families if I get stuck.
Apparently there were cholera victims buried there.
Thank you all.

Might help in building a picture at least for 3 of your burials.

William Beard 1st Marriage to Ann Lloyd 30.9.1858

Deaths Dec 1871
Beard    Ann    aged 40    Madeley    6a   446

William Beard 2nd marriage to Elizabeth Lloyd mq 1874

Deaths Sep 1899
Beard    Elizabeth    aged 64    Madeley    6a   423

1901 census William is a widow aged 71

Deaths Sep 1904
BEARD    William    aged 73    Madeley    6a   374

William's occupation was a barge boat builder/carpenter for most of his life. His parents were George Beard (1790-1874)and Susannah Randle (1791-1866)

Not sure if Ann Lloyd and Elizabeth were possibly sisters, but could well be as per 1851 census below

Piece:   1989
Folio:   469
Page Number:   42
Household Members:
Name   Age
Joseph Lloyd   56
William Lloyd   21
Ann Lloyd   19
Elizabeth Lloyd   15

John

William left a probate record.
