Ralph was born as Ralph Cairns Hamilton in 1914

Thomas's birthyear is later than 1890 on that 1921 census entry

Hi Carol, Monica solved this.  My grand father Thomas Clarke was born in Bradford Yorkshire. On the 1921 census SP he is noted as aged 29 (I knew my gran was a wee bit older) so the year of birth I had for him was incorrect.
