I may be able to help you here.
The Allens and Laskeys were married into the Prowses/Prouses in the Okehampton area I have them both in my tree.
I am a Prouse although adopted when born due to reasons.
If you trace Thomas Prouse down b 1798 in Okehampton he had children that married into the Allen family.
Maria prowse b 1823 married married Robert Bright they had a daughter called selena who married Abraham Allen.
Ann prouse b 1821 married John Laskey White in 1840 in Sourton Nr Okehampton his father was John Laskey White whose mother was Sarah Laskey born around the 1750.
look around this area it could be where the Allens and Laskeys came from .
