There's a burial of a Silence MAW 1683-1766 at Bigby.
Today I broke my personal record for most consecutive days alive.

Thank you.  I suspect that this is the Silence Faith (Hencefaith) that married Matthew Maw. However she was baptized in July 1684 but could have been born in 1683.

His son Matthew 1712 married Elizabeth Holgate and one of their children was Silence, but she was born in 1744, so she is ruled out.

Will try and find her burial in the hopes of confirming that it is the one who was married to Matthew.

I appreciate your help.

A tree on Ancestry has the death of Silence as 1766 and Matthew as 1743.

Mrs Silence Maw, a widow, buried on 14th July, age 83, and Matthew Maw Senr. on 9th June 1743, also in Bigby.

David

P.S. The owner of the tree on Ancestry is a descendant of Matthew and Silence and logged in today.

Thank you so much David.  I think that the Silence that died in 1766 is possibly my one. However not too sure about the Matthew. Every branch of the Maw family seemed to have a Matthew, and trying to sort them out is problematic to say the least. Being stuck with Hencefaith meant that I never went further back. Shall do so this evening.

Unfortunately I am not a member of Ancestry. Is there any way in which you could contact the owner of the tree?  If so, let me know and I will send you a private message with my contact details.

Really appreciate your help.

I can send him a private message. In fact there are two trees of direct descendants. One is a direct male descendant and the other is a grandson of a Maw.

Regards,
David

Likewise, I like to see 'the piece of paper' !

Please post what you find.

I received a really quick response from familysearch. I think the entry is the 6th one from the bottom. Not much help I am afraid.

Had another look and I think it is the one for the 24 October, not the 6th from the bottom.
