Commonwealth War Graves Commission are appealing for blood relatives of Leading Aircraftman Robert Edward Grainger - Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve 130 Sqdn. Died 20 December 1942 - aged 33 years - Buried Lower Mitton (St Michael) Churchyard -

The private memorial marking the grave of Leading Aircraftsman Grainger no longer provides adequate commemoration. The Commission are in the process of producing a new headstone to mark his grave.

He was the son of James and Mary Ann Grainger, of Stourport-on-Severn
He was the husband of Lucy M. Grainger, of Stourport-on-Severn
