Thomas Hall

Looking for the parents of Thomas Hall born 1847 in Abbots Bromley. His daughter was Hannah Hall and she married Samuel Neild .

I think Thomas married Marry Tunnicliffe also of Abbots Bromley .

If anyone could shed any light on Thomas parentage that would be much appreciated.

Do you have the right year of birth - 1847?

There is a Thomas Hall/Mary Tunnicliffe in 1770. Is that what you mean?

I can see a marriage between Hannah Hall and Samuel Neild at Abbotts Bromley BUT the date is

19 September 1805

The marriage was by Licence and that states that Samuel was a Widower and Hannah was a Widow.

I didn't know that.  I'm assuming Mary's maiden name wasn't Tunnicliffe then.

That marriage would indicate that Hannah’s maiden name was not Hall. Do you have records which show her as Thomas’ daughter?

Samuel Neild married Ann Harris at Abbots Bromley 30 Dec 1793.
Son Samuel bapt 3 Jan 1796 Abbots Bromley
Samuel's first wife Ann buried 15 March 1805 age 28years Abbots Bromley.
He remarried 19 Sep 1805 to Hannah Hall widow.

Children at Abbots Bromley- John 6 Sep 1807 ,and Job 23.10.1808.

It looks like the couple both died in Uttoxeter in 1838.
Samuel 10 Dec 1838 age 72 years
Hannah 26 June 1838 age 60 years.

Hannah was a Hannah Mellor who married James Hall 24 Dec 1804.wit John and Elizabeth Pyatt.
James unfortunately died and was buried 14 March 1805 aged 21(The day before Samuel's wife)
They seem to have had no children.

Will see what else I can find on Hannah Mellor

Hannah was Thomas Halls daughter though.  I'm assuming Thomas wife Mary wasn't a tunnicliffe by birth ?
