Hello,

The above may have migrated to the USA after 1871.

He was the son of Alexander and Mary HERON (nee COOK), both of Scottish heritage, and he had one sibling only, Gilbert, born in 1831.   His occupation was Printer/Compositor.

Can anyone help please?

Have you looked for him on any of the US censuses which are available free on Family Search.  Using FS - there appears to be an entry for him in 1892 in New York

Thank you for the information.

Sadly, according to the 1900 Census he was born in 1831 and the 1892 version is indistinct, although age 54 (born 1838) quoted by transcription.   I also note his daughter, Bertha, is aged 22 in 1892........thus, born approximately 1870 at which time he was married to Eliza (nee PLUMB) and had a son, William Francis HERON.
