Thank you to everyone, It is so confusing both Francis Alan Ffrench and Francis Allen French are born similar times and both died in 1943. Both left Ireland at very similar times, Francis Allen French from Cork child of Edward Allenn Penrose French sailed to Singapore and then settled and married in New Zealand. The other, Francis Alan Ffrench from Rosscommon child of Robert N Ffrench died in the US. Only the US Francis Alan Ffrench had children. Both are related to Robert Nugent Ffrench. My DNA shows connection to both and both families making my Ancestry trees an absolute mess having spent years researching the ancestry of Francis Allen Penrose French instead of Francis Alan Ffrench. .

Looking at Family Search records, I can’t see Francis Allen Ffrench in US.
1911 census for Robert and Georgina show 3 children born and 3 children living.
Allan Godfrey is missing from that census but the other two are there.
The death of this man, posted earlier shows his parents as Robert and Georgiana and his wife Mamie.

If you are in contact with his descendants in US - does any of that fit.

Allen Ffrench - 1930 census New York
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:X4K5-B55

1940
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:K3YT-ZSK

Allen Godfrey shows n o k as his brother, Noel on emigration.

I hope you are successful in sorting this out but I think those trees have mixed up the two families when referring to the two men.

Thank you Heywood, I am now looking at Godfrey Allen Ffrench (father Robert and mother Georgina) as it seems to fit and the sailing time is right, many young men fled at the time of the Uprisings. I'm going to email the other researchers and get their thoughts, many thanks once again.

That’s the best thing to do. There are US records and family so should be able to trace.  :)
