her probate mentions a son John Boardman Greenhalgh
his birth recorded on Lancashire BMD, 1907 TONGE with Haulgh 1907
Maria was buried Tonge . 22nd Jan 1948

aged 70 years,

Bertha may have been name after her Auntie Bertha Boardman,
who was born in Bolton in 1888,
Bertha is with her Dad Edward in 1901 living in the home of her married sister Maria Greenhalgh,
the 1891 census isn't the easiest to read, but you can make out , father Edward born Liverpool, mother Mary born Harrington, Maria 14 born Winscales Cumberland, Marg E AGED 12 born Salford,Beatrice aged 3 born Bolton  using the GRO for these births Maria Boardman mother Marshall J 1877 Cockermouth, Margaret Ellen Boardman mother Marshall Salford M 1879,
1881 Census family are in Salford

if I have followed Bertha correctly her adopted mother is in Morecambe in 1939, and Bertha Harts husband was Thomas Horace Cottam born 4th April 1904
baptised 15th May 1904

Father Thomas a mason,
mother Mary
abode 6 Cross Street,
