West Down Ranges
« on: Thursday 22 December 22 15:07 GMT (UK) »
Does any one know where in England the West Down Ranges were in World War Two?  The  3rd Medium Regiment of the Royal Artillery were sent there for a Practice Camp over Christmas in 1940.  They were stationed at Quorn in Leicestershire at the time.

There is a westdown camp on Salisbury plain, near Tilshead, part of the huge military practice grounds, Wikipedia describes it as accommodation and training base.

A possible.?
