Would someone from England, arriving to work in Massachusettes 1923/1926, have their photo taken for ID. My Grandfather went working there at Henry Ford Moters. I havn't got one photo of him so I was just hoping. Thanks

Thank You. I don't know if he was driving whilst there, although he did work at Fords.

Pretty sure driver's lic. didn't have photos until many years later.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

I'm not sure there was ever a Ford plant in Massachusetts, especially as early as the 1920s. There was a GM plant in Framingham, but I don't know when it opened - Google says it was there from 1947 to 1989.

Two stories might be combined here, like 1) he arrived in Boston and 2) he worked for Ford Motor. - Unless you know otherwise - I don't know what stage you are at in your search for this person.

If you don't find him in Mass., look in Michigan and surrounding states.

Regarding a picture - if he ever got a US passport, there might be a picture with the records. Or with a lengthy obituary, or if he made the news somehow in a big way.

Yes, thank you for the info. It's jogged my memory. He did go to Michigan to work. The records I found on Ancestry were his arrival, he must have gone on to Michigan.
