Thank you for your interest.  Those are Elizabeth’s children and their deaths do appear on my tree.
I am overwhelmed that so many of you are trying to help with my mystery.
Thank you all.

I was reading into the wee sma oors and kept forgetting I was supposed to be skim reading for the names Wither, Adair and McHarg, the scandal was so engrossing.
What a sanctimonious lot those men were!
I have to get back to my task now, just wanted to say thank you.  This is better than iPlayer anyday. 😉

Weren't they just!

I have one or two favourite KS records, for the amount of detail and the determination with which they persecuted 'sinners'.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Wow, I would love to chat to you.  Unfortunately I am abroad until late March.  I had moved onto another family line having got bogged down with the Withers mystery.
My tree is on Ancestry and I am new to Rootschat so have no idea how to send you a private message.  If you can send one to me I will give you my email address so we can investigate the link together.
Thank you so much for getting in touch.

Just click on the little icon like a piece of paper with a folded corner under Auchencrieff's name and type your message.
