There are two birth registrations for an Edward Jones in Wrexham that could be him.

1 Q3 1839 MMN Edwards

2 Q1 1849 MMN Jones

The GRO index only has one James Jones death registered in Wrexham in that qtr

James Jones aged 78.
GRO Reference: 1871  M Quarter in WREXHAM  Volume 11B  Page 241

Wrexham Advertiser 4 February.1871
This states John Jones aged 78 died 30 ult (January) at Chapel Street.

No marriages found so far for them*.  I've got the Denbighshire non-conformist records on  my other computer and will check them tomorrow if no one has found anything in the meantime.

 think there was an earlier Charles who possibly died.

Baptism - 14 March 1832 Charles  Jones s of James (labourer) and Ann, of Clwt

In 1871 there is Ann Jones 75 widow b Ruabon at 53 Erddig Road Wrexham.

The previous schedule on the page has Joseph Clark in Chapel Street. 
Both mentioned in the death notice.
