Dear All

I am hunting for information on Jane or Jeanie Retson born 17 November 1893 in Denny, Stirling, Scotland.  Her parents were Miles Brown Retson and Janet Bell Baird.

She's with her parents Myles B and Janet in the 1901 census in Denny. I don't trust the rest of the transcription because it says Denny is in Clackmannanshire. You can view the original at www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk.

Also the 1911 and 1921 censuses.
Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Jean Retson
Birth date 17 November 1893
Died 1970 age 76 years
Islington Middlesex

She is on the 1939 record as Jean Ritson (single ) same date of birth

Looks like it's your Jane /Jean
On the 1921 census
Jean Retson birth place Denny Stirlingshire registration district Islington
