Decipher This Headstone
« on: Sunday 01 January 23 04:22 GMT (UK) »
Hopefully this is the correct forum.
I have a photograph from the Southern Cemetery Manchester grave 617.
The bottom half of the headstone correlates and i can find the records for Percy Leatherbarrow and wide Ada nee Woodworth.
I can not find correct records for the top section. There is a Record for a Arthur Percival Lane passing April 23 1923 but that does not match the engraving on the headstone.
I cannot find a wife for any Arthur Percival.
Headstone Attached.
Thank you

I think the first mentioned mentioned man was known as Percy - rather than Arthur, &  his grave inscription is making that clear.
I have a member of my family who has that sort of grave inscription,  and he too was known by his second name Percy.
I think I can see the 'c' after the er on the line after his full name.

Yes I am seeing what you have transcribed.  ;)
