The children of Emma Jane Harris of Ilminster

Hello,

I'm looking for 3 siblings that I cannot locate after 1911/1921. They are all children of Emma Jane Adams (nee Harris, also recorded as "Emily" in some censuses). Emma was born in 1869 in Ilminster and married Frederick Adams in 1894. Frederick died in 1900. Emma married again, to Jack Jeans in 1920 and died in 1958 Sturminster Newton, Dorset.

The three siblings are:

1. Bessie Adams, born 1897, Ilminster. Father: Frederick. She can be seen in 1911 living in Deptford, Kent with aunt Bessie Walker (nee Harris). I can't find her in the 1921 census or beyond.

2. William Charles Adams, born 1899, Ilminster. Father: Frederick. I cannot find William after 1911, when he was living with widowed mother Emma in Broadway (near Ilminster) with younger siblings Elsie and John (see below).

3. John Adams, born 1907, Broadway. Unknown father; Frederick had died several years before. I cannot find John after 1921, when he is working as a servant for the Welch family (with sister Elsie) in Broadway.

Can you confirm whether you have checked freebmd for marriages/deaths?

Have you checked the 1939 register for William & John?

Hello,

Yes, I've looked in both FreeBMD and the 1939 Register but not found anything obvious.

There is a tree on Ancestry suggesting Bessie Adams married a Stanley Bishop in Somerset but I've found that this was a younger person with the same name.
