Kingstown marriage 1774
« on: Wednesday 04 January 23 16:41 GMT (UK) »
A marriage appears in Kingstown parish on 8 March 1774, for Ned Murphy and Winifred Mullen, on RootsIreland.

However, I cannot find the marriage in the National Library church registers images for Kingstown parish on https://registers.nli.ie/.

I would love to see the actual parish register image. Any suggestions why it is not there? Many thanks.

I think the images are owned by Dun Laoghaire Heritage and Genealogy centre as opposed to the NLI, so RootsIreland may not be able to display an image :) perhaps you could contact the centre?

In the index of marriages there is an Edward Murphy 1774 page 163
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633805#page/23/mode/1up
Right hand page
but there is no page 163 on the roll, only did a quick check so may have missed it.
On the next film there is several of the 160s pages but 162 and 163 seems to be missing
https://registers.nli.ie/registers/vtls000633805#page/9/mode/1up
again I only had a quick look.
It would be worth scrolling through the rolls to see if 162 and 163 have come loose and are stuck in randomly at some point. I've seen this happen in other registers, or it may simply have been missed by the person photographing the pages.
