I am researching Culkins and Howleys from Castleconnor, Sligo.
My greatgrandfather was James Culkin (1883-1939) from Newtown, Castleconnor. His parents were James Culkin (1825-1902) also of Newtown and Margaret Howley (1840-1916) of Doohaney, Castleconnor.
The family had a farm in Newtown and also had land in Carraun townland.
It would be great to hear from anyone with Castleconnor roots especially Culkin or Howley ones.
