Moses SHIMMEL of Sherrifhales, Shropshire married by licence Elizabeth PARTON of Penkridge Staffs. Bond dated 13th May 1711. Moses is a blacksmith

There are various SHIMMEL and variant baptisms in Sheriffhales around the time one would expect say 1660-1690.
However I have been unable to find a baptism for this Moses. Can anyone?

Also - a death.  I am quite sure he is not the 1788 burial that trees  have.  The last probable mention of him I do have is the baptism of a daughter Ann by whom I think is his second wife Mary PARKER on  26th June 1739 at Seighford, Staffs.

The image of the marriage bond is on FindMyPast. Apart from Moses' signature (he seems to have signed twice), there is signature of a Job Shimmell, also Mary Piper, Dan(iel) Piper and two others which look like Martin Nowill (?) and Charles Cullwick.
Job Shimmell might be worth investigating
Marriage place has three alternatives given - Sherrifhales, Idsall and Shifnall.

The 1788 burial of a Moses Symmel (sic) says he was the son of Moses and Ann. Can't see his baptism but a Moses Simmel married an Ann Leeke at the same place (Church Aston) in 1776.

Yes Lizzie, John & Elinor have a fair few children, and one could assume Moses must be their child, but those registers are all fairly clear, and Moses is not indexed, nor  can I see him.  Its always the one you want that doesn’t show up isn’t it!

Added..link to when I asked for help with the bond itself a couple of years ago
