Doesn’t their marriage certificate help, at least with father’s name and occupation?

There's a suitable contender on the 1881 census at Blaenpellena, Parish of Higher Baglan:
Margaret Davies born 1876 Glyncorrwg daughter of Evan Davies b. 1831 Llangonwyd (Llangynwyd)  and Catherine born 1843 at what could be Kilebebill , also with with siblings Llewellyn Davies b, 1878 Glyncorrwg and Mary Davies 1881 Baglan
RG11 5338
Folio 24
page 6
Schedule 129

GRO Index has MMN for Llewellyn as Jones Neath 11a 570  Dec  1877

With a surname like Davies & so little info you really need to get the marriage cert to get some firm info to ensure you are researching the right family

In 1901 her birthplace is Neath & birthyear 1873

In 1911 it's Tonmawr & 1874

Between 1873 & 1874 there are 7 birth registrations for a Margaret Ann Davies in the Neath RD

What happened to the many small children who were left with no mother at 1916?

Did father William remarry?.  Were the small children cared for by extended family?

What documentation do you have for BDM events in the lives of the people you are researching?

britishnewspaperarchives is a pay-to-view site, and you can do a search which gives enough information for you to decide if a closer (paid) view is of interest.

https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/

Western Mail 15 Nov 1937 p13
....... wedding took place on Sunday at Salem Newydd, Ferndale, of Mr Howell Griffith Livingstone. youngest son of the late Mr. William Livingstone and of Mrs. Livingstone of fylorstown, ana stir• Gwyneth Peever, youngest daughter of the late Mr. Charles Peever and ...

At 1937 William LIVINGSTON is deceased, and his (second?) wife is alive?.

These Welsh names are all too similar, repeated etc. to use without some BDM records.
