Hi Rosie,
I most likely will, its a thorn in my side, my cousin in Canada is having the same problem. We know they owned lived at Hungate farm in Sawley and Henry's (abt 1700) children were all baptised in Ripon Cathedral, what we cannot find is both Henry's wives. Henry Snr's will may give us some clues but i will have to wait and see.

On (my) 'Genes Reunited' site another member (Louise Stubbins) has Ann listed in her tree. 
Louise has Henry Raper b 1713 East Witton. (a Martin Budd also has Henry)

A Margaret Ibbotson has Ann Roper b 1734 Sawley.

If you check 'Genes Reunited' ('members  interests'') you will find many others have 'Raper' back to George b1551 at ''Pickhill with Roxby'' (Louise Stubbins)

Hi All,
Just to confirm to all, our Henry Raper born about 1713 possibly Hungate, Sawley, is not the Henry Raper from East Witton.

The Henry Raper from East Witton had a father called Henry Raper and a mother called Dorothy, this Henry Raper Jnr was born March 1743 and baptised on the 14 Mar 1743. His death is dated Feb 1780.

This should stop any mix-up with these two Henrys.

Just a quick update, I am still waiting for a copy of the will of Henry Raper. Unfortunately, due to high demand at the Borthwick archives, i have to wait until approx 24 Feb 23. It may come earlier than that so i will keep you posted.
