A few more things, in case of interest. Some births in Manitoba, including Francis W, which has his mother as Sarah Elizabeth Pearson. Sadly, she died shortly after.

Alice Mary b 07/07/1893 mmn Cobb

Margaret Ann b 03/07/1895 mmn Cobb

Ernest Edward b 31/01/1898 mmn Cobb, married Edna M Cornellin Brandon in 1917

Frank Wellington b 26/07/1900 mmn Pearson

Sarah Elizabeth Steeden, age 34, died 30/09/1900 in Brandon

The 1921 census is available free, but I can't find any of the relevant names

Queenie........what can I say.........A GREAT BIG THANK YOU......seems barely appropriate. I started my tree about 10 years ago but Phoebe has been bugging me for ages and ages, no matter where I look I just couldn`t seem to find her. Yet here we are around one hour after my opening post and you`ve found her.....brilliant  ;D ;D

Glad I was able to help you solve the mystery of where they went!  ;D

You`ve given me some names and dates to work with there David  ;)

The most obvious looks to be the death of Phoebe Pearsons daughter Sarah Elizabeth Steeton/Steedon  :(

I must admit due to the lack of subscription to any genealogy websites I am struggling slightly. With this in mind I have placed a post in the Canada section of Rootschat too  ;)

Thanks again David your help and interest is most appreciated  ;D

I don’t think this has been mentioned and of no help really, but in case you like having all records…

John E and Phebe Pearson were living in Eldon Municipality/Maidstone Eldon, Battleford, Saskatchewan in 1921. Francis W Steeden, grandson, and Alvin Gillespie, lodger, were living with them.

Added:  still no luck finding their c1882 sailing.  :-\
Ellison: Co. Wicklow/Canada       Fowley: Sligo/Canada       Furnival: Lancashire/Canada       Ibbotson: Sheffield/Canada       Lee/DeJongh: Lancashire & Cheshire       Mumford: Essex/Canada       Ovens: Ireland/Canada       Sarge: Yorkshire/Canada             Stuart: Sligo/Canada       Sullivan: Co. If you manage to get access to Ancestry, perhaps in a library or archive, there are 40 trees with descendants of Sarah Cobb/Steeden, and she has a lot of descendants.

This one is a direct link: https://www.ancestry.co.uk/family-tree/person/tree/159619246/person/342164095960/facts

From that, I was able to trace a few on the 1921 census:-

Alice Mary Steeden married Stewart Karn in Brandon in 1914

Ernest Edward Steeden married Edna Myrtle Cornell in Brandon in 1917 and died on 17 FEB 2001 in Brandon
https://central.bac-lac.gc.ca/.item/?app=Census1921&op=img&id=e002879928

Sarah Elizabeth Steeden married James Maurice Davidson in Brandon in 1904

Many thanks David for your latest reply and the three links to Alice, Ernest and Sarah Elizabeth  ;D

I dont think Ancestry is an option at the moment unless I consider a short term subscription as the local library only has access to Find My Past. I do still possess an Ancestry account but when they were offering free access a short while ago ( may have been one of the Bank Holiday periods ) I could only access Census and BMD records. I did try to gain access to the Family Tree records but I was refused as this did not come under the criteria at the time. I just kept getting the subscription page every time I tried.

I am quite enjoying the "Task" of sorting through the various details I have been fortunate enough to get from yourself and the other kind contributors. To think I have been trying to locate Phoebe for over 10 years without success.......yet two posts on these Forums over the last couple of days have provided me with extensive details upto and including Phoebe and her Husband John`s burial details. I consider myself most fortunate and slightly humbled.

Many thanks again  ;)
