full age at that time was 21. Not unusual for a 15 year old or younger to be a live in servant elsewhere. There's a possible for Rachel in 1841 as a farm servant in Llangyfelach.

Mary wasn't with her parents for the 1851 census either but married from their address the following year. 1861 census for Calep & Mary shows eldest child, Hannah, born Maesteg 1854 - RG9/4047 folio 79 pg 33, her birth reg june qtr 1854 Bridgend vol 11a pg 382 mmn Thomas. Rachel could have been staying with her sister.
