added, was Minnie's father William in prison on the 1911 census, and had his wife Sarah Ellen Kirton nee' Wayland remarried 1908 to Robert Woodhouse. Robert, Nellie(Sarah) and Minnie Riston(Kirton) on 1911 census.

Thank's Boo and Mowsehowse that does rule out this wedding and put me back to square one for now!
John yes we are convinced Willian john Kirton who was actually an inmate in Bensham hospital/asylum
in 1911 is our Gt Grandfather,Sarah ellen's maiden name was Wayman we may never know how she came
to marry in 1908 as Catholics divorce would have been a non starter especially for working class people.
