Thanks Roobarb she really was… I’m sure they’ll get another couple sometime soon though as I know they won’t want to be without a pet family!

Do post photographs if they do.
The kitten photograph is lovely.

My last cat Ashley, was a part British Blue ,there must have been a Tom who got about a bit,in the village whenever a cat had kittens there would always be a blue.
A vet explained that a litter of kittens would not all have the same father!
He was lovely but ten weeks when we got him,a lean rangy cat ,he lived to be 18 ,I took some photographs of him drinking from the little pond I had ,then some a couple of weeks later and was shocked at the change which had been gradual but still fast .
He was 18 , the Vet diagnosed kidney failure and outlined how painful that would be ,he would probably go somewhere to hide and die all alone !
So I took him home , fed him, nursed him for ages and went back to the.Vet’s.
He went so quickly ,purring would you believe it .
Not had another since ,but would like one .
A lovely blue/grey colour ,rangy, never a spare ounce ,and got in the cat flap sideways!
So gentle and quiet, named after Ashley Wilkes in Gone With The Wind ,played by Lesley Howard, also his blue/ grey colour.
Has his previous litter sister,Sian, a chunkey  little cat,she got run over, right outside my door,
A kind neighbour moved her and buried her in the little park next to our homes, whilst I was still at work.
She was dreadfully injured and killed outright .
We local residents looked after the park and the council gave us money for a wild flower meadow.
So I did not feel guilty she had been buried in a natural rough part, as was Ashley 18 years later.
Oh dear I want a cat!
Viktoria.

My daughters cat is really a pretty dainty little female, but I think if I were to have a cat now it would have to be rehomed  eventually,  so we won't  have one, they are good company if you have cat that likes to stay in more than out, Tia  is an in and out cat, no sooner in than out but when we are there she stays in and  sits on our laps, I just enjoy her.
