Has transcribed, along with Parish Records, (under Resources) thousands of:
Gloucestershire Marriage Licence Allegations 1637-1837 and
Marriage Bonds 1730-1823.
More often than not, there are two copies, one being a Marriage Licence and the other Marriage Allegation - each giving different details.
This can be a useful tool when researching Ancestors, as age, occupation plus witnesses with their occupations etc.
for example you did mention Brockworth.
13 February 1747, Daniel COATES, Widower, residence, Brockworth
married
Ann ORGAN,
bride at age of marriage 30, Spinster, residence, Brockworth
Marriage by Licence:
He marks
Event type: Marriage Allegation
Memoranda: To Marry at Brockworth, Sworn before J Gregory
Transcriber's Notes: Old style date 1746/7.
Using the Soundex there are COATES/COTES/COATS.
In the Forest of Dean transcribed Parish Records for example
-----
20 May 1785
Richard COATES, residence: St John Baptist
married
Jane ALLEN, residence St Catherine Parish
by Licence: (although I can't see on the Forest of Dean Marriage Licences etc)
the Couple wed at : Gloucester St Mary de Lobe
---
There is also a facility to search on the same site to search for witnesses. Again useful.
----
There are 4 Quarington/QUARRINGTON listed in the marriage licences - all in Gloucester St Mary de Crypt/Gloucester St Michael i.e. Edward, Constance and Mary.
----
William WEBLEY appears to be a witness at quite a few wedding - so some sort of Parish Clerk
