Hi, does anyone have full access to Percy Mayo's War service? he enlisted with the RASC but i need to know exactly when he enlisted, and when his service time ended. many thanks.

He started army life as Private M/305598 in the RASC and then he was commissioned to 2nd Lieutenant and as such his service record should be held by the National Archives but not yet digitised for internet access. (image courtesy of Ancestry)

The London Gazette published on the 12th February 1918 shows that he was appointed as 2nd Lieutenant on the 21st January 1918. Link to entry below:

The National Archives do hold his service papers. As I mentioned, they are not digitised and if you wish to see them, your choices would be:

1 - go to the Archives in person
2 - pay a professional researcher to go for you
3 - pay the National Archives to copy the papers for you
