Maria/Mary THOMSON (née DUFF) death?

Looking for death record for John & Maria - John Thomson b. Antrim, Ireland married Maria Duff/Duffy 4 Aug 1845 Lackagh, Galway, Ireland. 

I am researching their daughter, Eliza and her descendants.

Eliza Thomson b. 3 Apr 1857 High Church, Glasgow Scotland. 
Father:  John Thomson
Mother:  Maria Duff
d. 8 Aug 1942 Brisbane Qld Australia.

Eliza’s siblings were born Workington, Cumberland. 
John is a widow on the 1871 census.

Possible death for John:

John Thompson Age 64 (born c. 1827)
Death 1st Qrt 1891, Cockermouth, Cumberland
Volume: 10b
Page: 400

There are a few possibilities for a Mary (no Maria showing) Thompson in Cockermouth between 1861-71.

You could contact www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/bereavements/  (bereavement.servicesATallerdale.gov.uk  - replace AT with symbol @) and ask whether they could check burial registers for you?

I read that a lot of work has been done by this department to upload this info on to a searchable database.

I took the chance and purchased William THOMPSON's death cert.  I'm not sure if it's the same parents as Eliza's even though they have same names.  Death cert says he was born in Penrith, Cumberland.

See attached.  No one related - appears to be a nurse and the magistrate holding the inquiry (committed suicide).
