Hello
A cousin has sent me a photo of this unknown gentleman. If it could be dated and his age guessed at that would narrow down possibilities for his identity.
The picture is glued in an album so nothing known about back
Thank you
Jan

I'm not sure about this one but at a guess I would say 1930s. This will bring it back up the board for Jim who is better at dating men's clothing. I would say he could be in his 40s.

Thanks Carol
I was thinking 1920s/30s, but I know men are difficult to date.

I have messaged Jim and asked him to take a look for you. They don't change their clothes as frequently as us women  ;D

My immediate reaction was 1930s but, as Carol says, men don't change their wardrobes as much as us.   I remeber great Uncle Joe visiting us in the 1950s wearing clothes like that!!

We might not change our suits very often but we do change our ties.
This chap is right up to fashion with his knitted tie.
It came about in the 20's but really didn't become mainstream until the 30's.
I don't think this is as late as the 40's as the composition doesn't look right
so I would agree the 1930's.
As for age I would suggest around 50.

That's great, thank you Jim (and Carol and Gadget)

Now I've just got to see if I can work out who he might be
