Hi Everyone,

I am wondering if anyone can recall a website, which I am almost sure was about Hesketh Bank and Tarleton History. It was very informative.

Included within it was an 1826? list of Tarleton men, eligible to be included in the ballot for the Militia.

This list noted men who were accepted and included notes as to why certain ones were rejected (due to a physical disability or being a 'poor man' etc).

I cannot find that site now -- if it was disbanded - does anyone know please, if it would be archived and if so, how I could find it?

Many thanks to anyone who can help.

Yes, it is saved on the wayback machine at archive.org

This is a direct link to the Tarleton militia page that you mentioned:
