In Canada a few dates are questionable and the spelling! Gertrude was actually born 1871, all records in Canada are 1877.

among...we couldn't believe it said Miller but they are terrible for not giving the right dates

I was hoping there may be an obituary online which hopefully mentions her son John as he was the informant on the death certificate and also a daughter Ethel who married Leslie Wilkins.

The children are only listed by their first initials and Ethel by her married name. There is a pallbearer listed with the family last name, perhaps one of the grandchildren mentioned?

OBITUARY
MRS. G. McAULLY
The death of the late Mrs. G. McAuley of Tarentorus occurred at the General Hospital July 1 after an illness of four months. She was survived by two children J. McAuley and Mrs. L. Wilkins both of Sault Ste Marie, also two grandchildren.
  The funeral was held from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wilkins. Canon D Johnson conducted the service. Two of her favorite hymns were sung “Just as I Am" and “What a Friend We Have In Jesus". The pallbearers were: Jos. Myers, Albert Brooks, Sam Henry, George Allard, Edison McAuley and Jack Edgar.
  Beautiful flower were received from the following: ......etc.

This seems interesting. Also, it appears one of the grandchildren was a son of her daughter Ethel.

ABDUCTION CHARGE
 Leslie Wilkins Will Appear In Court This Afternoon.

 Leslie Wilkins originally of Blind River giving his age as 23 and Ethel McCauley daughter of Mrs Gertrude McCauley Northern Road 14 years of age are being held by the provincial police and Wilkins will appear In district court this afternoon on a charge of abduction. The couple were married Saturday morning by Rev. J. C. Mcaulay of the First Baptist Church and went down the line. Later the mother of the girl took the matter up with the police and the detention of the couple followed, They were brought back to the Soo last night.

 Rev Mr McCaulay told the Star that the girl appeared on the license as being 18 years of age, and that the first Intimation he had that she was only 14 was when he was visited by the police In their search for Information.

 “They told me that they were going to Blind River” Rev. Mr. McCaulay said. “Wilton the groom has a sister here, a Mrs. Nicholson, on March Street. She called me up to see if I would marry her brother”.

Oh my, I knew Ethel added 4yrs to her birth date for the marriage but this is all new!

Thank you Sandra and what a beautiful name for the baby.

Do wonder if Leslie is Wesley James Wilkins looking at records I saved for Wesley's family just in case I needed to check my notes, dinner first :D

Just wanted to say a big thank you for your help, I now know so much more about her with your help. It's amazing the picture you build up, the voter's list for 1935 has some of names of the pallbearers as well.
