Have you seen this?

The witnesses to Joseph's will were Lewis E Emmet, Solicitor, Sheffield
and Thos Gibbs, Solicitor's Clerk with Taylor & Emmet, Solicitors, Sheffield!

Hi mckha, thanks.
You never know what you might find, do you.
But I didn't include the false starts, like looking at the indexes for the wrong county!

Dear all,
This is absolutely brilliant. You Rootschatters come up trumps again. I would never have found this. I am always astonished how helpful and knowledgeable this community is.

I have not looked closely yet, but it apears Joseph had property in Ontario. This is rather different from what his Obituary states - that he was in canada on a trip for his health.
So left his money to Martha his sister, and Sarah Ann Whittington who is enumerated as his Housekeeper in 1891 and 1901. Whether Sarah Ann was actually more than just his housekeeper we shall never know...

I have not yet looked at Martha's Will.  She is next to be written up.

Thanks again everyone.
