Further to my last post I have decided to ignore the 1705 birth in Pontefract, both Thomas Thorp(e) and Anne Wat(t)son were most likely born in the Marr, Tickhill and Doncaster area. Sadly the records for St Helen, Marr only go back to 1729. I only work on factual sources so will draw a blank there. Thanks for determining it was Anne Wat(t)son. Regards, Pete.
I have now found Watson's living in Marr in the 17th century thanks to Bishop's transcripts held at York University.(Borthwick Institute for Archives)
