Hi All
Not to sure if this is on right district?
Ive recently foubd out me Dads Family from Forest of Dean Tippins and Mason left the Forest late 1890s early 1900s and settledin Abertilleryi think due to me Great GrandDad Jack Jones from Abertillery marroed a Mason im thi kin a few of her Extended family of Tippins Mason Barnard moved up to SouthWales weve always assumed-they all  atayed in Forest

Is this your George involved (and cleared) in this unusual case. It happens in /near Ruardean: https://newspapers.library.wales/view/3670694/3670697/56/

There seem to be quite a few Tippins in the Abertillery and RIsca areas

Sorry fir late response and thanks for all the replies we all thought Masons and Tippins stayed in Forest of Dean never knew the settled Abertillery me Dad whos 83 didnt know and he lived in Abertillery till he was 7!
Definately right Families and thank you so much for newspaper clip thats one of my Tippins and a few of the Baldwins were married in funny ol case word got round that a bear had escaped from a touring circus and killeda child so a few of the Foresters hunted said bear or bears down killed them and beat the French circus lot up vigilantism Forest of Dean 1800s style! 😮😂
