You refer at post #1 to the death of Mary Barry, who predeceased her husband. Is this Mary Barry Wright, bur. 27 Nov 1815, age 20, Place - Bitton, Church - St Mary (National Burial Index)?

The Gloucestershire Burial Index reads "Burial Place - Bitton St. Mary; Place - Bitton, St Mary"

These are FindMyPast transcripts - I don't have sight of the original. The burial register should include a column headed "Abode". This is frequently NOT transcribed. It's not possible to be sure if "Place" above reflects the entry in the Abode column. However, it was frequently populated with village name etc rather than a precise address. eg "Bitton". Do you have sight of the original register to confirm the entry?

No this is a daughter. His wife died in 1794.
I will look for what you suggest though. Thank you.

Note - the "Abode" column was introduced with the 1811/12 register.

Found Mary Barry Wright's death. She was living in Westover at the time.
