Endicott
« on: Sunday 05 February 23 09:55 GMT (UK) »
I am used to researching through Scottish records, but have been asked by a friend to help her research her family, who came from Yorkshire.
I have managed to trace her father's family, but am struggling with her mother's side.
Her mother was born Lucy Endicott in 1932.
I found a birth registration for July, August, September 1932, showing that a Lucy Endicott was born in Rotherham, to a mother whose maiden name was Dearing.
That's as far as I can get.
I need to find a marriage between an Endicott and a Dearing, but all my searches are coming up blank, I can't even find Lucy Endicott on the 1939 register.
Any help will be very much appreciated

I tried searching through the 1939 register, but couldn't find the family.
This info should help me further.
Thank you so much

Presumably, the lady is now deceased but her name is still redacted.
We are not allowed to post details from 1939 but you should be able to find the people.

I have found the entry on the 1939 register - and am totally confused now.
I shall have to speak to my friend later and ask if she recognises any of the names mentioned.
Don't know where the "Cox" comes in................

My friend assures me that both her parents, and grandparents are all deceased.

The "Cox" will be a change of surname in later years.
Presumably because of marriage?

The 1939 National Register was used, and updated, by the NHS until the early 1990's.
