Sarah Ann Ward - Parents?

In my case, the child's forenames in the Census, were in reverse order on Birth Certificates.

But when the Birth Certificates arrived the parentage and Marriages and Mariage Fathers and places all match perfectly.

The Marriage witnesses matched earlier relatives too.

Her age could be read as 20, 26 and a 28? looks visible?

Stephenson has an alias spelling sometimes Stevenson, if they can't spell it to the Official or leave a mark.

Those girls are the daughters of John and Charlotte.  In 1851 they are in Seaton with Mary Jane, and in 1861 Elizabeth is with them and Mary Jane is with her STEPHENSON relatives.

He was born 1842 s of James Stephenson 1802-1858 and Sarah Swaby married 27.11.1836 at Beverley St Mary
He seems to have one sister Jane bapt 1..4.1839 .
James was born at Routh s of Edward and Sarah Stephenson nee Fewson who married 1797.
Children Susanna 1798,Elizabeth 1801 ,Richard 1803,Sarah 1804 ,John 1806 ,Ann 1807,Mary 1810,Charlotte 1811,Martha 1813,William 1816 and Fewson 1819

Still can't see a connection to Sarah Ann Ward though

However, after all the searching you have all done, I tend to agree with Louisa Maud - I don't believe that Richard Ward was her father - she has named him incorrectly.
